About this policy
This policy applies to Fide Rating Calculator | Chess (also called FIDE Rating Calculator), the Android app with package name com.tranztechnologies.fidecalculator. The app is provided by Tranz Global Tech LLP, doing business as Tranz Technologies and published on Google Play as Tranz Tech ("we", "us", or "our").
Calculator inputs stay on your device
The app calculates estimated chess rating changes and initial ratings on your device. Inputs include your rating, your opponent’s rating, the game result, the selected K-factor, opponents’ average rating, total score, and number of games. These inputs and the resulting estimates are used only to perform and display calculations. The app does not send them to us, FIDE, or other third parties.
Information the app does not collect
You do not need to create an account or sign in. The app does not collect personal information, device identifiers, location, usage activity, or diagnostic reports. It does not access your contacts, messages, photos, or other personal files for rating calculations.
Advertising, analytics, and sharing
The app does not display ads or include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share user data through the app, and we do not use calculator inputs for tracking, profiling, or marketing.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message, screenshots, or other information you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported issues, and keep necessary support records. Please avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information. This voluntary correspondence is separate from the app’s calculator functions.
Our email and support service providers may process correspondence on our behalf as needed to provide those services. We do not sell support information. We may disclose it if required by applicable law or where necessary to protect users, address misuse, or establish or defend legal claims.
Retention and deletion
We do not hold server copies of your calculator inputs or results. You can remove the app’s local data using Android’s app storage controls or uninstall the app. We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations, then delete it when it is no longer needed.
Security
Keeping calculations on your device limits the information transmitted by the app. Please protect access to your device and keep its software up to date. We use reasonable safeguards for information you send to support, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Google Play and external websites
Google Play and your device’s operating system handle their own services under their respective privacy policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s practices. If you open our website, including this policy page, website activity is covered by our website privacy policy. The website uses analytics separately from the mobile app.
Children’s privacy
The app does not collect personal information from users, including children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support correspondence, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold in support correspondence, or to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. We cannot retrieve calculator inputs or results from your device.

We will update this page and its last-updated date when our privacy practices change. If a future version introduces data collection, we will explain the new practices and provide any notice or consent required before that collection begins.
